It really was a shame the rivalry system and narrative were so disconnected, which was most apparent when you had one gameplay finale with your rival and one narrative finale afterwards.
Then again, the overarching narrative and characters didn't really interest me and I've heard it was major lore rape, so not sure if intertwining the two aspects more closely would have turned out for the better. Hopefully Monolith's gonna be so convinced by the rivalry system that they'll give it its own game next time instead of playing it safe by tethering it to a major franchise.
Tho I have a feeling it's gonna get milked for sequels instead, seems like the even safer option.
Just think of it as an alternative timeline.
Certainly sounds like it'll be the only piece of worthy DLC in the whole season pass, what a disappointment.
Time to reinstall, then
