Ring out your favourite apps for Android!
If anyone needs an APK for a program I have backups for a lot of mine.
For those of you who have XBMC on their computers, the XBMC remote is one of my favourite apps. I can control my entertainment system without leaving the couch :) (For those of you who don't know what XBMC is it's an amazing program that allows me to organize my tv shows and movies into an amazing visual library complete with episode summaries and cover art!)
Ready... go!
Titanium Backup, really useful because I break my ROMs way too often.
Opera Mobile & Ubermusic.
Kies Air for Samsung phones, so you don't have to scurry around for your usb cable all the time.

I like highly customizable launchers like Go Launcher EX and LauncherPro.
Google Googles
And all kinds of console emulators ( Especially Snes and N64)
QuickPic, Dolphin Browser Mini, Arcus Dictionary the whole GO Suite
Es browser and Root explorer too ( Es have root feature , but it really sucks)

Subsonic is an amazing music app.
I use regularly: Beautiful Widgets, Elixir, Spotify, ACast, Gmail, and a couple others.
I just used Titanium Backup to uninstall half of the apps I don't use.

If you live in the states, I hate seeing all these apps I genuinely want going for free.

Dam you! I loved that free app so much! Why did you have to open my eyes and make me not want to ever go to the amazon appstore again =^/

CamScanner
I find it handy to electronically share hand written notes, since I'm oldschool and write my notes with pencil & paper when doing school related work.

What do you like about Opera, and have you tried/compared it to the firefox browser?
What do you like about Opera, and have you tried/compared it to the firefox browser?
Opera Mini supports compression of images using Opera's servers for doing that.
Reducing your data usage.
Handy if you have extremely slow and/or metered internet.
What do you like about Opera, and have you tried/compared it to the firefox browser?
I am a firefox fan, but the mobile version of firefox is terrible. Web pages look ugly on it, it is slow and crashy...
I use Opera mini and Dolphin HD
Opera, when I am on 3g
Dolphin, when I use Wi-fi
not to mention Firefox Mobile can't do flash. I like Firefox on my laptop, but Opera Mini and Mobile fucking destroys every other mobile browser.
I love Dolphin to the core, but it has a really bad habit of not using the already created new tab that was sitting around in the browser from 8 hours earlier on any new links. Dolphin has around 3 problems, but I hate it for them.
Android's stock browser is the only thing I can get Google web search to not be in the crappy mobile view (as opposed to the touch UI), which is what does it for me.

Opera mini had quite a few graphics bugs for me.
Opera mini had quite a few graphics bugs for me.
I've never had any problems with it, besides that short period after the v6 update.
What is the difference between the two Opera platforms?
Opera Mini is made for not-so powerful phones like mine, or if you want to save as much internet data as possible. It renders all pages for you. So a dynamic swooshy page would turn out to be static.
Whereas Opera Mobile is a full web browser for more powerful phones. I'm not entiery sure all of its features but I know it renders the page on the phone.

Heck there's even a fully functional Opera Mini version for my old Sony Ericsson W810i.
Just gives you a impression on how flexible the Opera Mini platform really is.
