Current card: 8800GT 512MB
Current psu: Macron 500w 1x 6pin 18A on 2 rails.
Current cpu: e8400
Looking for a card that wont make my psu explode and is smaller or same size as the 8800GT (also faster)
My budget is $150CAD I will be buying from newegg.ca NCIX.com or tigerdirect.ca
I prefer nvidia cards.
I think the GTX 460 requires two 6-pin connectors.

You won't be able to run a GTX 460 without two PCI-e connectors.

I suppose I could upgrade my psu, I want one with dual or single rail that will last.
Budget is $70 CAD
Im thinking of getting the XFX Core Edition PRO550W

Should be more than enough power?
XFX is good, I can't find anything better right now, as there's a thunderstorm coming my way.
The XFX PSU looks pretty good, there are some comparable Corsair PSUs in that price range too. (With higher wattages) http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139004
which is honestly way more than you need, but it's a good psu for a really nice price, just sayin
