Read the article about what the app is. It's meant to ape on the instagram name & function. It's a photo sharing app that uses the -gram suffix. Pretty clear what they're trying to do.

Read the article about what the app is. Its purpose is completely different than Instagrams. The photos are shared not to friends but to help encourage litter cleanups. But you would know that, having read the article.
Instagram shouldn't be able to control the -gram suffix.. which is about art and writing.

Regardless, I don't think that it's fair to harp on someone using the same suffix or prefix as other things. Lots of product names start with "i" or "e" and read similarly to "iPhone", but it's not really that big of a deal. People generally know it's not affiliated with Apple.
