• New GPU replacing old 4870.

Heya I'm thinking of getting a new GPU to replace my 4870 (512MB). Since I use a 1920x1080 monitor I've found my framerate to be quite low in some games (namely WoW, Civ 5 etc). I'm thinking this is related to the low VRAM I currently have. I've been quite inactive in the world of GPUs so I have NO idea what to get. My budget is around 3000 SEK (that's about $440). P.S are there any cards out there that can run 3 monitors at the same time (not eyefinity)? And doesn't have 2 GPU cores. Thanks. Other specs: Q9550 3,4GHz 4870 512MB (max overclock) 4GB ram. Some generic asus mobo (I has one pci-e). 600W corsair PSU.
gtx470 or hd5870 [editline]11:08PM[/editline] I'm not sure if q9550 would bottleneck hd5870 or gtx470, you may want to google that before buying

Q9550 won't bottlneck anything, it's still a very good processor
You shouldn't be lagging in either of those games, even at that resolution. And even though you got such a budget, I suggest you buy a GTX 460, as that will be more than enough to run those games.
Just gonna get the 5870, it costs just as much as the 470 anyway. edit: oh shi- they lowered the 470 prices too
5870 is still a good buy
yeah if you can go for it.
Get a 5870.
If I were you I'd wait a little while for the 6*** series.
Gtx 470
The 5870 is only about $20 more and is better
I'm still to see a resonable post from Axiom.. And Axiom, OP probably already bought the 5870.
Probably gonna get it next week :), haven't ordered yet though, I get the money on thursday.
It's better to wait for the release of the 6XXX series, and you'll be able to buy a 5XXX for a fairly low price
