Can only hear skype and system sounds through my headset

Basically my skype sounds and system sounds are the only two things I can hear from my headset. I have set my headset as the default playback device for communication and otherwise but only skype and system sounds show up when I go to my mixer. I apparently have another playback device called Realtek Digital Output and when I go to the mixer for it I see that my browser is one of the applications. I have already tried disabling everything but my headset and that doesn't work. Help would be appreciated.
