I'd like to connect my ps3 (hdmi), and pc (dual-link dvi), to the same monitor; switching between the two as needed.
The monitor only takes dual-link dvi.
I'm not sure of what i'd need to do this properly (a kvm switch?), or if it's even possible with dual-link dvi.
It would help to know, before scouring through the thousands of switches on amazon.
I've no need for audio through hdmi, btw.
Any insight is appreciated.
I would imagine a dual-link DVI KVM switch would work just fine.
If you have a spare monitor lying around your house, it will be even more perfect
for your computer and PS3, using a dual monitor setup is very handy.
It turns out the new monitor isn't compatible with anything which explicitly relies on the display for scaling. I guess i'll just use it on the old monitor.
