So I played this Spongebob game back when I was a kid, but after searching for at least an hour I couldn't find out which one it was. I went through at least 50 gameplay videos and visited every single wikipedia page on spongebob games, but nothing matches up.
The few clues I have are:
- It was on PC ([I]might[/I] have been a NGC/PS emulator though)
- There was a menu of some sorts in Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy's lair
- There was a minigame where you'd have to climb up a wall avoiding obstacles
- There was a minigame about gadgets
I don't recall any 3D platforming (though that might have been another part of the game). I recall Battle for Bikini Bottom being the name but the gameplay videos I've watched just don't match.
Battle for Bikini Bottom was a 2D title for consoles like GBA. So it's probably not that.

Battle for Bikini Bottom was also a totally different console game that just happened to have the same name, but it was a 3D platformer and doesn't match up with the game he's describing at all.

Holy shit, everything makes sense now! The game I was describing is the PC version, apparently all I've seen in the past few hours was the console version. Who the hell thought this was a good idea?

There's a rail shooter I've been looking for forever and I can't find it. It MIGHT be a Nerf shooter.
Wierdly enough, I noticed the exact same case with another set of Spongebob games.
Spongebob the movie game, on consoles, was an action adventure with tricky 3D platforming elements.

Spongebob the movie game, on PC, was a point and click game with offensively easy solutions to every goddamn puzzle. Could easily be completed in about an hour.
