• Mic is always on...

I am on win7 and my mic is always on. I can hear it in my earphones when I touch it or blow into it. How can I turn it off so it's off when no other program uses it?
Control Panel > Sound > Recording > Your Mic > Properties > Listen > Uncheck "Listen to this device"
Control Panel > Sound > Recording > Your Mic > Properties > Listen > Uncheck "Listen to this device"
The problem is, it's already unchecked. I tried checking and unchecking, still I can hear it. When it's checked I can hear the mic louder, when it's unchecked, it's a bit more silent but still can be easily heard.
its probobly just your microphone
its probobly just your microphone
Does that on every mic. Tried 2 headset mics and one table mic. I can hear them Nvm guys, I had to turn off mic sound in speaker settings. Now I don't hear it.
Check your driver configuration.
You could disable the mic in device manager
Do you have a Realtek sound card? If so, then make sure you have the latest realtek drivers *and* realtek mixer software - so you can turn the mic-listen thing off in the Realtek mixer. I had to do it for my realtek card.
