Ok. So I have a Lenovo T500. When I ran the AMD GPU Clock tool, I checked the temperature, and it was at 99C! My fan is fully functioning. I have overclocked it from 600/700Mhz to 766/870Mhz, but even when I change it back to the original clock, its still the same temperature. I think it is the GPU that overheating. :argh::ussr:
It is the ASIC Temperatur via internal TSS and its from Grphics Sensors on GFX core 0. Oh yeah, the GPU is an ATI Mobility FireGL V5700.

Oh my fucking lord. 132C Average after running Gmod for 3 minutes...........
It's a feature. It keeps you warm in the winter. Though it seems the calibration is off.

If you can, prop the laptop up so the fan outlets are not sitting on the desk. Or, invest in a third-party laptop cooler.

Dammit the my Antec NoteBook cooler fan only gets it down to a blazing 92C and under load its 120C.

Are you sure there's no dust in the fans?

Yes i used a compressed can of air to spray it or whatever you call those.
I need halp!!!
Temps that high are almost always a bad sensor.
If you touch your exhaust vent, can you burn yourself? If your temps really are that high you won't be able to keep your hand there for more than a few seconds.

Yep. Its pretty damn hot near the exhaust vent. I can't even type on the keyboard for too long.
Maybe undo the OC? Laptop fans are tiny, I don't think you'll get away with OC'ing... But that's on damn small OC.
There's no way its 270 degrees, either Windows would have shut it down, or the thing would be on fire. You sure your not mistaking it for Fahrenheit? Because one time i was like "oh holy christ on a cracker 160 degrees!!! OH my god!!!!!! Wait.... that's an F... Well, im retarded."
Did you ever clean your laptop out?
How old is it?
Make sure the exaust fans are always clear (never put it on a bed or couch)
What the hell where you thinking overclocking a laptop?
You got yourself a pricey toaster now.
Toaster? Make that a grill
Macbook grill i7..
That sounds like a bad sensor. One of the cores on my processor is off on calibration, the inside of my case is 38C while Core0 is 42C and Core1 is 34C at idle. Thats with an overclock from 2.6Ghz to 3.5Ghz so I am fairly certain my first core is correct.
