I think this article is pretty useful overall, but for calling out ammo what my friends usually do is say the last two numbers instead of all three.
Enemy MAN 6 o'CLOCK 200 METRES ALL move to that BUSH 12 o'CLOCK OH NO one is DOWN
Having efficient comms is such a huge thing in this game, a few groups I have played with suffer seriously because of this people are unable to either give or follow clear callouts. It's amazing how much of an impact it actually has, you can easily win squads with a mediocre skilled team if you have good callouts and someone also making smart tactical calls. It was always worse as well in Rust because you can't see nametags until point blank. People give far too much vague information due to no easy compass and when you get to bigger groups teamkilling is rife in chaotic situations, as well as people dying because they hesitate due to being worried the person they want to shoot is a teammate. Only thing I would debate on is gear callouts - I get that it isn't great to have 4 people constantly describing all of the loot they see but if you see a piece of gear or weapon that someone on your group might benefit from provided you know they don't have better I don't see why you shouldn't call it out. The main thing is recognizing when people have enough gear that you don't need to call out optics or low tier guns/armor anymore. A lot of people need to learn to keep raging to the minimum as well - Too many people start shouting in frustration and trying to describe what happened to them while people are still concentrating on the game.
