Hello, i have the new fraps 3.0.3 and a question.
I like to talk with friends in skype and record games.
But everytime i record something ingame it records the skype talking too.
I know that its possible to run skype on a different sound channel but i cant find an instruction for it.
Oh and i have Windows 7.
Fraps pick up Teams Speak 3 as well and ive never seen and option to pick up only in game sound. i would like to know as well,
It records what you hear, unless you have it set to take the sound from a virtual speaker, it will pick up whatever is on your main speaker.
Fraps picks up anything you hear from your speakers. If you really want to record without peoples voices getting in the way, mute everyone.
There is actually a way how to, but this requires you having multiple sound outputs, possibly sound cards.
The way how you do it, is basically, select skype to go to one output, and your game to the other, and configure your windows stereo mix, and make sure you record the stereo mix of that sound card with fraps the game is going through, and if you want to hear both, you're going to end up using speakers + headset at the same time.
Don't tell me this isn't possible, I've done this lots of times.
Great. Get a USB headset and have Skype send and receive audio from that.

Actually, all you need is a USB sound processor. I got one with a plantronics headset.
my speakers are usb so it doesnt pick it up :sigh:
