Soup FP, I've got a little bit of a problem with my C:\ drive.
My PC boots just fine, never had any problems.
Just today, I decided to try and install Ubuntu using a dual boot, so I have to make a new partition, rite?
Rite.
So I download Paragon Partition Manager Pro, and it tells me the file system is invalid, so I can't create a partition.
How in the HELL am I going to fix this?
I can't afford to empty my drive, too much data would be lost as I have no way to back it all up.
I'm at my wits end, please help.
If I'm not mistaken you can just use the Disk Manager within Windows to create a new partition; avoiding any possible faults with third-party software.
Alright cheers.
I found the disk manager, but now I've run into a new problem, I need to shrink my C: drive so I can make a new partition, but I can only shrink it by 7GB, and I want at least 20GB.
Wat do?
Change the number to 20,000
Lol.

You may need to free up more space also, if you are using a small HD
I've got 300+ left, no problem there chef.
Alright, when you go to the shrink part, put in "20000"
Should work fine then.
'swhat I did, can't go past 7169 or something like that.
I think there are some MFT files at the end of the volume, I'm looking into it with defrag.
Thats bizzare to me.
I recommend going out and buying a second HD. You can often find a local PC store that sells some cheap 80GB HD's. That will save you the whole partitioning issue, and you wont have to worry about affecting your windows partition.

Defrag. There could be shit everywhere and the largest blank space you have left is 7GB.
