Hey Im looking for a FREE Avi to gif converter, theres alot on the internet but most are shareware, demos, or full of viruses. Anyone know of a good Free one?

VirtualDub.
VirtualDub works well for converting, but the GIFs it produces are huge. I think GIMP may be able to reduce the size after conversion, though.
I have some old Ulead gif animator program that came with an old computer of mine. I use that and it's great. It may not be sold anymore, though. And I used VirtualDub with UGE to make this avatar, actually.
Thanks that's just what I needed!
You can always use Camtasia and record the clip you want, then edit them and save them as a .gif in it's fancy all-in-one handy dandy features.
