• What are some good forums, other than Facepunch?

I'm getting more and more disappointed with the Facepunch demographics. The 9/11 conspiracy thread received mostly "Winner" ratings, and it even appears as "Winner" in the thread list. There has been a huge surge of 9/11 conspiracy theorists, libertarians, anarchists, and other crackpots on Facepunch. It seems like now, a great deal of Facepunchers believe that freedom of speech means that one's ignorance is somehow equal to another person's knowledge. Could you please suggest me good forums you know? I want to see if this has only happened to Facepunch, or to the general Internet demographics as well.
So you dislike how people here think and you want to go to a forum THEY think is good? I don't think you thought that one through.
So you dislike how people here think and you want to go to a forum THEY think is good? For this reason, I'm hoping that some people would list better forums than Facepunch, because there are still rational facepunchers.

With nothing better to do than piss in a cup and post pictures of it.
9GAG, Reddit, all those other cool forums [editline]20th June 2012[/editline] The ones that all of FP like
Another quality post by OP.
Call of duty forums :v:
Steam forums.
These forums are pretty lighthearted. It seems like you're taking them too seriously.
none are better than facepunch

4chan, I guess [editline]19th June 2012[/editline]
[B]I'm getting more and more disappointed with the Facepunch demographics. I find it odd that you call everyone crackpots based on some of your activities you have posted on here. anyway, you can search for forums/boards here, just type in the forum type you are seeking or click "forum directory" on the home page.
The Penny Arcade comic tends to be meh, but the forums are pretty good.
Hackforums
The OP's pissed that people disagree that we shouldn't be allowed to take away people's rights if they're a suspected terrorist, force them into servitude if they're in prison, and worst of all believe that people should have to take tests in order to have the ability to vote. OP, get your head out of your ass please, and understand that just because people don't agree with you on things, doesn't mean they're idiots. Seriously, you claim that we don't use logic and use circular reasoning (what?), when you make posts like this,
Anarchy is fucking stupid. Anarchists should be ashamed of themselves.
While I do believe the government should provide services, there are some interesting and fun arguments inside of it. If you didn't want a debate with differently viewed people, why did you even go to Mass Debate?
none. and FP isn't good either.
if you dont live it here go to somethingawful, 4chan or reddit~ see ya
thebestgamers.net
lemonparty.org
Small forums Any forum made around a single subject Forums with people you already know Try looking for the forums for games you like.
I wouldn't suggest SA or 4Chan, because considering what you put in the OP, you'd get rejected badly.

You've been here for a month and you're already disappointed?
I wouldn't suggest SA or 4Chan, because considering what you put in the OP, you'd get rejected badly.
Yes. I'm looking for forums which have very little anarchists, libertarians, 9/11 conspiracy theorists, Ron Paul supporters, etc. Any forums with such demographics are more than welcome.
The only thing I really dislike about facepunch are the ratings.

If you didn't want a debate with differently viewed people, why did you even go to Mass Debate?
Keep straw manning. This is exactly why I'm looking for another forum. About 1/3 people are OK, such as the ones arguing for universal health care in my health care thread in mass debate. However, about 2/3 of them are libertarians and anarcho-capitalists, and say that 'government enforcement theft (taxation) is worse than people dying'. And on top of that, they respond and try to correct me with wrong definitions, without stating any source, which is the funniest of them all. And on top of that, they're so sure of themselves when they do their corrections, despite these corrections contradicting all the established definitions up to date.
circular reasoning (what?)
And I feel truly sorry for you if you don't even know what circular reasoning is. The lack of knowledge of the common logical fallacies, as well as the general lack of skepticism is what causes such crackpottery in the mass debate.
Facepunch is honestly the best around IMO, SA doesn't feel as alive as FP does, and imageboards are p. worthless for communities if you ask me. I get pretty tired of Facepunch's majority demographic very frequently, but honestly most other places are mediocre in comparison. I've made plenty of friends here and all that, I think that aspect keeps me around.
