yesterday my father spilled juice all over my phone, I quickly removed the battery and than I dryed it with a hairdryer, than I turned the phone on and it worked, until this morning
well, it still works, but if I press the navigation button it opens up the volume control, also the buttons for the volume control don't work properly
the search button in the start screen(or what ever is it called) is stupid, when i press it opens up the search menu, but in the next moment it opens up games menu, the same is with the right gaming button on the top of the screen
btw I'm using sony ericsson yari
please help I don't know what to do
That bitch better buy you a new one :v:
sounds like your screwed. buy a new phone and send the bill to your dad.
well, the phone still has warranty, could I just talk to the reapirguy and told him that the phone just went crazy?
would that work?
Phones have stickers inside them which change colour in presence of liquid, and stay that colour. They will instantly know it's been damaged by liquid if you send it in for repairs

what if the liquid is behind buttons?
and how much would the repair cost?
and should I wait until the phone dryes or something?
rinse the juice out of it first.

It's fucked already, what do you have to lose?

It still works, the problem appears randomly
See if you can disassemble it, if you can get the front off, clean the button pads (The part where the button presses down on the PCB) with rubbing alcohol and a non-lint cloth. I would also wash the whole keypad and faceplate in some soap and water to get rid of all the stickiness.
Should work if you are careful not to break anything and have the right screwdrivers, if you don't have the right screwdrivers, don't try to force it.

thanks for the help, but before you posted this, I tried to open the phone, and I did, but somehow I disconected the screen cable, and I can't plug it in, because the faceplate is somehow partaly glued in, where the light sensor and the front camera are
so I'm taking it to a technician to repair it
Get it repaired under warranty, say you was walking down the street using it, and somebody knocked it out of your hand into a puddle...
You said you opened the back? Be creative, about the story, it got knocked out your hand, hit the curb (causing it to smash open) and then bounced from the curb into a puddle...
Just saying, my friend works with applecare, and when I spilled water on my macbook pro he told me to just wait a couple months because it was just keyboard damage and the water sensor eventually changes back.

You could always find replacement stickers. I think I saw some on ebay once.
