If you google "the end of the pirate bay" you can get articles from 10 years ago claiming the exact same thing as this article except orchestrated by a different agency. Wake me up in 10 years when they're saying the exact same thing.

I think it's fair to be cautious about this stuff even if it seems like it happens all the time. Sites like What.cd seemed like they could last forever and ended up blowing up in the matter of a single raid. Yes, I understand TPB has a very different structure to private trackers, but copyright holders are getting more aggressive every year. Yes it's unlikely to be "shut down" any time soon, but I wouldn't put it past companies to start making it much more inconvenient for operators.
There's a reason they call TPB a hydra.
Doesn't all the information to create a new Pirate Bay exist on the site? [editline]16th June 2017[/editline] I remember them creating a public backup
