I can't seem to find a non-steam version of SFM so I can use it with Wine on Ubuntu, I can't even log into steam on the windows version, is there any way to 'pirate' the game?
(None of you seem to care about my operating system.)

Was there any reason to shitpost on this?
(Okay, I'm done with this, people are following and rating me.)
The closest you'd come to a nonsteam version of it is the old 2007 leak of it that has the worlds most awful installer.
Oh, it's this guy again.
Even if you DO manage to get your hands on a standalone SFM, chances are your Dell Dimension won't be able to handle the load at all. SFM consumes significantly more system resources than any other Source game and you don't have the minimum amount of RAM required to run it, not to mention the fact that Wine will often start choking on graphics-heavy, complex stuff like SFM.
Seriously. Just get a new computer.
You might wanna try not asking for warez on FP. Because of reasons.
Why dont you just get the Linux version?

A better question is why he's even trying.

Uh, has this guy made a single good post?
I mean shit, I've made some terrible posts but jesus christ, this guy.
dude just download the old Nickolodeon Movie Maker it's the only thing your computer can run
if your pc is capable install sfm under windows and copy everything, then run sfm.exe -nosteam
it's shit that sfm is windows only
Use Garry's mod to make poses n shiz or get a new computer :v:
Did anybody even notice I'm on Linux, and I asked for one to work on Ubuntu, I'm on my main computer that could run SFM at 60FPS before.
(I technically have a new computer.)

I can't even launch Steam after it installed, neither can I log into my account.
I can only support the Linux version, that's why I'm asking for a standalone version to run on Wine.
The best I can do is copy files over from.... the Dell Dimension.

It doesn't exist.
A standalone version outside of steam really doesn't exist and you shouldn't be asking for a torrent for it, you could probably find that yourself if you really needed it
your specs are pretty bad for it anyway, you'd be better upgrading some of your parts and making a windows partition or something

I frankly have a hard time believing that you could run it fine but either way you're not gonna get a solution to this that will work with your set up
you're better off getting a windows partition set up or something and running through steam that way

How about setting up a virtual machine? :quagmire:
(Like I said in a past thread, I have an x64 Vista disc.)

Then use it for a VM or partition, don't pirate a piece of free software just because you have a boner for linux if you have an actual means of using the OS it requires

If you can't even get Steam to work in Wine on that thing, what makes you think that sfm will work even remotely well?
