£500 Budget, Gaming PC ($750)

I need to start from scratch, i can go a bit over £500 but i dont want to go over £600 tbh, if i need to then i will. Could you post some options of what i need here.

I basically want a computer that is made for gaming, idc about anything else, i want all my games to run smoothly on the highest settings. Fast load up and a big memory for all of my games. I will be mainly playing source games but then also games such as Crysis and GTA.

I also need myself a new screen, keyboard and mouse. A headset and microphone. God i know this is gonna go way over my budget but im gonna rake myself for the money.

Your budget is good for waht you need...

Oh rigth you need a screen :S Will be closer to 600 then 500 but can you reuse an OS / HDD/ DD and case?

Post specs to see if there is anything really you cn reuse

Well first of, i'm using my step-dads computer which i can't really take apart >_> also my current specs are something to be shunned.

For this price I'd say an AMD phenom II because:
-Cheap but great CPU for gaming
-Get a cheap AM3 mobo (£100) that supports sata 6 gb/s allowing him to get a new, faster HDD.
-The new 890x chipset comes with a 4290 IGP which he can then grab a decent 4xxx series card for a good price and hybrid crossfire them.

I would recommend 4770/4850/4870/4890 whatever fits his budget.

You'll need to pick your own hard drive, optical drive and monitor. Depending on how far you want to go over your budget you should probably get a cheap keyboard/mouse combo and save up for better ones later so you can get good components now.

Well for ebuyer, it came to £516 but i couldn't find all the parts to match on that website.
