I need to start from scratch, i can go a bit over £500 but i dont want to go over £600 tbh, if i need to then i will. Could you post some options of what i need here.
I basically want a computer that is made for gaming, idc about anything else, i want all my games to run smoothly on the highest settings. Fast load up and a big memory for all of my games. I will be mainly playing source games but then also games such as Crysis and GTA.
Thanks for your inputs :)
I also need myself a new screen, keyboard and mouse. A headset and microphone. God i know this is gonna go way over my budget but im gonna rake myself for the money.
Your budget is good for waht you need...
Oh rigth you need a screen :S Will be closer to 600 then 500 but can you reuse an OS / HDD/ DD and case?
Post specs to see if there is anything really you cn reuse
Well first of, i'm using my step-dads computer which i can't really take apart >_> also my current specs are something to be shunned.

Also the keyboard and mouse i could get another time since i can probably get a cheap one from somewhere. But i do need a headset and microphone.
Im thinking an i5 build.

For this price I'd say an AMD phenom II because:
-Cheap but great CPU for gaming
-Get a cheap AM3 mobo (£100) that supports sata 6 gb/s allowing him to get a new, faster HDD.
-The new 890x chipset comes with a 4290 IGP which he can then grab a decent 4xxx series card for a good price and hybrid crossfire them.

I would recommend 4770/4850/4870/4890 whatever fits his budget.
Phenom II
5770 (maybe or a 48xx)
4 gb ram
AM3 mobo
OCZ 500w psu
Antec 300
Thanks people :P
Once y'all figure out what's best, some links please to cheap sites to buy parts? :)
I assume you live in the Uk so here you go http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech

You'll need to pick your own hard drive, optical drive and monitor. Depending on how far you want to go over your budget you should probably get a cheap keyboard/mouse combo and save up for better ones later so you can get good components now.
Thanks alot dude. Here are the other bits i found that FINLEY said i was to find myself, see if i got the right choices.
Hard Drive - http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods/Components/HardDrives-Internal/SATA500GBto1TB/WD5000AAKS.html

I also just found out my step-dad may be giving me one of his old computers that may have parts to salvage or a good case to use. I can also use the keyboard, mouse and screen for a short time and save up for better ones.
www.ebuyer.com has some of the best prices have a look at the same parts on there see if its any cheaper
You may get a slightly better price on the mobo at ebuyer, but you'd have to pay postage twice which would probably negate the small amount of money you'd save. Also I prefer ordering all my components form the same place if I'm ordering a lot at the same time. The components you've chosen are fine.

Free shipping on Ebuyer i do believe.
I'll have a look there. :)
It's good anyway, altogether on the site i'm using it comes to £567 or summat. Awesome shit, i'm hyped.

Well for ebuyer, it came to £516 but i couldn't find all the parts to match on that website.
Also an extra £150 for the screen, headphones and keyboard and mouse. Which i will get at a later date. Thanks guys for all your help. So here is my final setup which i will be buying. Please tell me if anything is missing.
