Hello guys.
Just wanted to ask, if I wanted to reset my router, I will need to change its password right? The one that we use to go into router configuration.
But will the password that my computer use to connect to the router change too? How to change them passwords? What do you call the various passwords?
And anything else that I should know before I brick the router?
Router default passwords are usually blank, or some variant of "admin" (if it asks for a username and password, usually "admin" goes in all fields). If that fails, you can usually find them on the internet with a quick Google. Half the time the first result is the owner's manual.
I'll leave the router configuration password as admin then.
But when a computer wanted to connect to a router to get its internet, we have to type in password to connect (not the router configuration password).
What do you call this password and username?
How can I change it?

There will be a page in the router config to set the name of WiFi(also called SSID) and password. Where it is depends on what kind of router you have.

Are you talking about adding a security passcode for the wifi?
Check on your Wireless settings on the router. Look for WPA2, and a way to set the passcode is somewhere in that vicinity.
