Okay, so I have asked this question in the BF3 megathread a couple times now, but they're too busy bitching about the flashlights and how they need a commo-rose. So I'll try here since it's software.
I had downloaded the BF3 Beta and started playing soon after. I loved nearly every second of it, and I soon had to get off to go to sleep as time disappeared while playing the game. When I awoke and tried to go back to playing something odd greeted me. Lag. But not just game lag... It was input lag. That's the best way to put it. I'll move my mouse and the screen will move slowly to the left in what feels like an eternity. I'll press "W" for 3 seconds and continue walking for eight. The worst part is, everything else in the game goes lag-free. The players, the shots I take(3 seconds after I click), and their shot etc. I've never had a problem like this in ANY game. Please Facepunch, help me play this game!
Do you have either HBAO or SSAO on? Back on my older computer I had that issues with Just Cause 2 that was pretty much the same as what you're describing. Try setting it down to SSAO if you have HBAO on, or completely off.
All right I'm gonna try now

No luck. I'm pretty sure it's not graphics related. I have no idea what to do. I wouldn't be comfortable buying the full game without knowing whether or not it will do the same thing
I have this issue myself. I have tried reseting everything to default in the nVidia control panel, turning off raw mouse input, and I think I could be a problem with when you maximize the game, the mouse doesn't fully work. Try minimizing and then maximizing. I haven't found a permanent solution, just temporary, however it hasn't happened for a long time.
I have been full-screening it, so this may be a problem. I'll try it out

No dice, I'm afraid. This is getting irritating. In the kill cam it was running perfectly no lag at all, then I spawn and can't move in a straight line

Now my wireless card won't work. Fuck it. I'm going to commit suicide. :suicide:

Any other ideas? Or does anyone know if they'll have a finished demo after the beta? I don't want to buy the game if I can't be sure this won't continue
Disable Vsync
It's off. I've tried all the graphical configurations, trust me. I've ran it with everything off, everything on and anything in between. It's not to do with graphics. I have little experience with networking so if anyone knows what it could be please post
BF3 always has input lag. You're not alone.
To the point it is unplayable? Why is everyone else playing fine when I can't walk in a straight line, or fire at someone three feet away.

I don't have input lag. Someone said they uninstalled their virus scanner (i wouldn't advise that) and that fixed the problem.
So did you try turning off raw mouse input? That's what fixed it for me.
I don't know what you mean? Is that a windows option or battlefield? And it's not just the mouse, the keys are bad too. I'll look around though, thanks for the idea

It is a option in battlefield.
I turned it off and it's much better, but not fixed. The walking is still clunky and will continue after I let go, and the game has an overall choppiness to it.
I have the exact same problem. Nothing's fixed it, though. It seems to be an on-off problem for me, since I can play metro perfectly fine and top the scoreboard and then on other times I can't even walk straight.
It was fine for a day and then it decided to be shit. This beta has both sold me and lost me
Did you post this on the battlelog forums? You know, the place that you post bugs?
Now why would I do that?
...I'll go post it
Try opening and closing the menu (ESC).
Probably unrelated, but give updating your drivers a go. Furthermore it might just be incompatibility issues or shit, I've had battlefield go from normal operation to texture corruption in the next day.
Any fix yet? I am having the same problem.
I'm having this sort of problem too
is it jittery when you move the mouse?
Try turning off mouse acceleration and such stuff if it has an option to (I haven't checked).
Stuff like that can cause all kinds of issues with certain mice, but my friend was raging about a similar issue earlier today, so I guess it's just waiting for a fix.
I'm afraid to purchase now because I had this in the beta, and it never got fixed. Now that people are having it in the full game I don't think I'll be picking up BF3 anytime soon
I have tried every single setting, raw mouse input, SSOA, HBOA, AA, AF, VSync. You name it.
The problem is that it isn't only with the mouse, but also with the keyboard.
I don't have it everywhere, and not on every map. I do however on nine out of ten maps.
What is SSOA and HBOA? I've never heard of those settings before. And perhaps we just need to wait for a patch to fix these issues.
can you guys post your specs, the ones having this problem
My input lag disappeared when I uninstalled MSE and replaced it with Avast. And if I have anything that uses Flash on background there will be lag in the game.
I'd try closing all unnecessary background apps and see if it works.

That's all i can remember off the top of my head.
I have turned off my A/V, and put it in Game Mode (BitDefender has a wonderfull game mode, it basicially disables everything so it won't interfere with your game.)
Doesn't Battlelog use flash? Because that (Chrome) and origin are usually the only notable programs that are open when I try to run Battlefield 3.
Also SSOA and HBOA are for Atmospheric Lightning. It's at the bottom of the list in your graphical settings.
Here are my specs:
