Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew how I can "activate" the sound-plug thing in the front of my computer. I'm gonna need some big sound tonight, and my 2 speakers doesn't really cut it. I have 2 extra speakers and a subwoofer, but I am already using that sound-plug in the back of my pc. Is there anyway I can make the front one work?
get a stereo splitter? so it splits the sound between each speaker?
If it doesn't work already, it probably isn't plugged into the motherboard, if you have a few more 3.5mm plugs at the back of your pc, you may be able to change their outputs to normal sound output too.

Also an option, but you will lose half the signal on each side unless the splitter has a distribution amp.

Do you know how I can change the output? That sounds like a really great idea.

I tried googling probably everything possible, I seriously can't find a solution.. Damn!
Often the front output disables the rear output when it has a plug pluggedi nto it. I have a feeling that your best bet is finding some speakers with a wall plug and built in amplifiers. I have a small pair of Creative speakers that plug into the wall to power an amplifier, and they can be ear shatteringly loud.
Check your motherboard's manual to see if you can activate the surround sound. If you just need more than one set of speakers you could buy a cheap splitter and use amplified speakers.
You can have both ports active at once depending on your sound-card/drivers.
On my Realtek 888 on my ip35 in the drivers I am able to kill the front jack detection and have sound outputted to both ports.
You're not going to get incredible surroundsound from doubling the front channels round back.
