• Windows 7 keeps "freezing" while on the internet

Its incredibly strange. I'll be browsing the internet, and then all of a sudden, all my programs stop responding for no apparent reason. The start bar still works, but I can't open or close any programs. Then 30 seconds later or so, it starts working normally again, for about 30 minutes give or take before it does it again. Also, the hard drive light constantly on (no flashing) but I can't hear the hard drive do anything like its stuck or something. It works perfectly fine beyond that though, and it only happens when I'm browsing the internet (does it both in Chrome and Firefox). It actually tends to do while I'm loading a page, not while its sitting idle. Windows 7 32 bit intel Core 2 Duo 2 Ghz 2 GB RAM Hitachi 160 GB Hard Drive
empty your cache and see if that does anything. Also clean your hard drive of any useless stuff or run disk cleanup.
Will do. Also this is a fairly clean install since I upgraded from XP. Its been doing it ever since I installed a few days ago though, so I doubt clutter is the problem. Sort of an update, I disabled the web filter on Avast, and it hasn't done it....yet. It hasn't done it in two hours. Perhaps that might be it.
