• Gainward 9800GT 1GB acting weird

Whenever I try to boot my computer, it always switches to the onboard GPU (sometimes the 9800GT's fan speed goes to max speed, when I checked what it did while this was happening, I got a BSOD right after logging in to my account with the error BAD_POOL_HEADER), however, when I press the reset button on my computer, it boots up just fine, but videos lag for some reason, games work fine as they worked before. The fan is supposedly cleaned, computer works fine with my 9500 GT. Any help would be appreciated.
Switches to the onboard GPU? As in you physically have to take the VGA plug on your card and move it to the port on your motherboard?
Yeah, else I get no signal on my monitor
Go into BIOS to change the dedicated graphics card to default
If you're talking about setting the BIOS to take my video card as priority instead of the onboard one, it's already on that, unless you're not talking about that, I don't think my BIOS supports doing that
Also have you tried a clean install for your drivers? They have to be really really messed up to be causing this, so it unfortunately might be hardware.
I don't think drivers would be related, as once again, it switches to the onboard GPU, so I don't even see the BIOS until I switch the plugs
Apparently, cooking it fixed every problem.
