• Looking for great games that I can finish in under one day

As of recently, my schedule has become very restrictive so I'm only going to be setting aside one day per month for goofing around, playing video games, etc. I'd like to spend that time playing something incredible that will leave a lasting impact that I can reflect on in the following weeks. The genre doesn't matter, provided I can finish the game in a single session (call it 15 hours or less). I own most Nintendo and Sony consoles (Xboxes broke) and a gaming PC To avoid having to clutter the thread with replies to everyone, I'll rate hearts to games I've played already, and Agree with any titles that sound good. Thanks, everyone!
The Stanley Parable. (getting all the endings probably takes around four hours)
Pretty much any "coffee break" roguelike generally target an hour. OFC thats on a good run [sp]if you can get it on sale for like $10, the new bubsy game is pretty fun for like the hour or two it takes to finish it[/sp]
Night in the Woods Undertale INSIDE Portal 1 and 2 Papers, Please Firewatch
1st chapter of Higurashi, takes about 8 to 9 hours to get everything 100%
Journey, To the moon
Doki Doki Literature Club
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Little Nightmares Abzu Superhot Hotline Miami 1 Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Call of Juarez: Gunslinger
Bastion!

Half-Life 1 (and it's expansions) Metal Gear Solid 1 Return to Castle Wolfenstein One of the first three Silent Hill or Resident Evil games (you can emulate them pretty easily if you need to) FEAR 1 Portal 1+2 Max Payne 1+2 Doom 1+2 Bayonetta Metal Gear Rising Or almost anything by Platinum really I remember being able to beat all these games in 10 or so hours at the most or less, first time. I'd recommend Silent Hill 2 the most out of these, it's amazing if you can get over the average combat.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I have a good idea of what I'm going to play over the next year now. :D
Abzu. Not really a game per say and very linear and short but honestly one of the best games I have ever played. Truly astonishing experience, especially if you have a good sound system.
similar game, AER
The Darkness 2 is a super fun FPS that lasts around 7 hours [editline]26th January 2018[/editline] BUT TAKE YOUR HEADPHONES OFF WHEN YOU LAUNCH IT
Steamworld Dig 1 & 2 are both great and take just a couple hours to beat Psychonauts is a classic that you could probably beat in around 10 hours Rez Infinite is fantastic and a complete playthrough lasts about an hour
Spec Ops: The Line is just what you're looking for
Vanquish One of the best third person shooters out there.
Adventure games are a fuckin great genre for this. I am legally required to suggest you play Grim Fandango because it's one of the fucking best, you play as skeletons, what more do you need But there's also The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, I imagine pretty much any 90s adventure game can be beaten in a day and some classics there include Day of the Tentacle, Monkey Island, King's Quest, Space Quest, and Leisure Suit Larry. Retro games tend to be easily beatable inside of a day. I'm sure you can google 'how to emulate' if you don't want to buy any but there are a lot of NES classics that can be beat inside of a few hours, hell, Super Mario Bros can be beat in 15 minutes. Some particular classics include Super Mario Bros 1 2 and 3, Castlevania, Castlevania 3, Megaman, Metroid, Punch-Out, and Contra. Star Fox 64 is also really short. I beat Mafia 2 the same day I started and I can also personally attest to Fable: The Lost Chapters being completable in a day considering I did just that numerous times as a kid.
Hotline Miami 1 can be beaten in one day and the abstract story is pretty unique. Mafia 1 can be beaten in a single day if you are good enough.

IMO It's always better, especially with story driven games to just let it sink in and process what has happened outside the game for a while. Sure, lot of games can be truly enjoyed in one sitting but with games like Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, even Max Payne or Rising... I'd recommend taking a bit of time.
Oxenfree is a really good game with great character-based storytelling. It was free on GOG for a while, so you might already own it too. It can easily be completed in one sitting.
Antichamber (First Person Puzzle) Gunpoint (2D Stealth Platformer) DEADBOLT (2D Stealth Platformer) Mark of the Ninja (2D Stealth Platformer) Quake (FPS) The Dark Mod (First Person Stealth, This doesn't really have a campaign, but a large amount of custom missions with various lengths)
Tiny & Big great art style and a cool game :)
I would recommend Space Funeral if you like surreal things
Superhot
A Hat in Time
Titanfall 2 Seriously, I played it through yesterday afternoon and it was excellent
Slay the Spire is a fun and challenging single-player deck building roguelike. A single run can last between maybe 1-2 hours? A lot of factors prevent it from running long with either a) you're op and can effortlessly slay or b) ya' goofed and now you're gonna get flattened. Takes a bit of planning, but you can definitely pull a lot out of your ass to save yourself if needed. It is in early-access though, but has a lot of polish for one for a pretty reasonable price!
Refunct (it's on steam)
If you're really quick and you know what you're doing, Max Payne 2 can be beaten in like 3 hours. Otherwise its more like 5 or so.
