So the other day, my laptop switched off due to the battery being dry. The odd thing was is that itwas plugged in, and the mains were switched on. My laptop no longer charges with the Dell charger, so I asked my dad if I could borrow his universal charger which works with his Acer fine. It now says "plugged in (not charging)" on the battery meter, meaning I can't unplug my laptop without it dying. One thing I noticed is that my laptop has a 19.5V PSU (or at least that#s what it says on the bottom of my laptop), but the universal charger goes to either 19v or 20v. Is it the same principal as fuses? Should I not go above 19.5v, or 20v in this case, and stick with a lower 19V?
sorry if this is a bit vague, I broke my shoulder, and it hurts to type.
