Hi guys,
I'm kinda puzzled about the fact that I have 4gb ram and I have Windows Vista 32 bit. I just bought this laptop and at the properties of 'My Computer' it says 4gb ram, and in the task manager it says 3070 (so about 3gb).

Why did Acer install 32 bit on a laptop with 4gb?
At the moment I don't feel like I am short of RAM but I'm just wondering why they didn't install Vista 64-bit. Also: if I wanted to install Vista 64-bit, would I have to buy a new OS, or can I just upgrade it for free? (if not then I'm just going to wait for Windows 7 I guess)
Oh by the way, lovely laptop, great bang for the buck (paid €470). Very fast, nice looks, can run GMOD with everything on high (no AA though) at 1280x700 at about 40-50 fps (Nut I removed it all in about 30 mins
I don't think 64-bits are standard, you have to buy them/order separately (I customized my computer, chose 64-bit)
Also, why would you want 64-bit? I think 32-bit is better for those specs.
