Ok so this is the story. I have a plug outside my bedroom. Now this may sound crazy but my room is powered by this plug (XBOX 360, PC, 32", Momtor,Printer And More.) So I thought instead of having to boot up in the morning and wait...and wait...and wait. I thought I would put it in sleep mode in hopes that my dad doesn't switch off the plug. So I put it in sleep mode and guess what, My dad turns the plug off. So I went to bed. Woke up. Turned my PC on hoping for a long boot as usual. And it says "Resuming Windows" So I'm thinking "Yeah it will probably say that sleep file is corrupt." But it all turned black with a mouse. And then the login screen, So I logged in only to find that all my Windows from last night where still up. But I thought, when you go into sleep mode that is, that your PC doesn't quite turn off, it turns off like all the unnecessary stuff and keep a tiny bit of power to run..I forgot. Unless I forgot something. Why has it done this?
"Hybrid Sleep" is enabled by default for desktop PCs. This puts all running processes and stuff into both memory and on your hard disk. If the power goes out in this mode, Windows is still able to get the data off your hard drive and resume Windows normally.

What versions of Windows does this? Just 7 or what?

Yeah, my laptop does this too.
