However, whenever I try to create a match an error syaing "connection failed after 4 retries" appears and it wont let me start the server. This is very strange because I was able to play gmod fine with my firend. Can some 1 plz help me

Don't pirate CSS damnit
Its not pirated. The reason that I wanna play on Hamachi is because I want my friend to try out the maps that I made in the sdk.
You can play on custom maps without using Hamachi
yah but I just wanna play a match with me and my friend with a couple of bots. I heard that the only way to do that is by buying a server
You don't have to buy a dedicated server. You can just create a password-protected server in-game (aka a listen server).
Op I have had problems making internet games with my stupid router what you can try is type.
connect xxx.xxx.x.xx
x= ip address in hamachi.
Type that in console.

In the console type "map <your map name here" this will make a server.
make sure you've done sv_lan 0 aswell so he can join.
Why the fuck are you using Hamachi? You can just forward your ports and then you won't have to worry about your friend being connected to the group and whatnot.
What kind of router do you have?
This guy is a pirate, look at this thread he made, admits to having pirated games:http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?p=15039152#post15039152
Report him for Warez nao!

I'm pretty sure Hamachi doesn't even work with Source games anyway, they will give an error about LAN games only allowed on the local network.
