So yeah, I am looking for a new CPU, mainly because My old one has been outdated...
I have tried surfing in some places, only to understand that I know squat about CPU's.
I don't know which brands are better or what CPU's are better with my specs...
If you will need some specs I will provide them
P.S. Oh yeah, If you're gonna provide a site, I need one with international Shipping ;)
Thanks in advance

Hm... I already got 3 GB's O ram
and let me just clear myself up.
So the first link is the CPU and the second one is the RAM's
so where's the MotherboarD?
Oh sorry My bad... Just noticed that the first link is a Pack of Motherboard+CPU
But would it be possible to not change my motherboard Cause it might be Uncompattible with some of my other parts...
wait a sec, made a mistake. put your old ram in
you need the new ram because your old ram is DDR2 and the new one is DDR3
Hmm... :downs: Please explain :L
what is your old ram?
Wait, Ima find out in a sec
Oh I think this is it 4 DDR2 DIMM

Hey wait
The Asus M2N68-AM SE2 motherboard features the NVIDIA Geforce7025/nForce 630a integrated chipset
I quoted from the CPU link.
So Isnt this a kind of a waste if I already have a very good Video card?
what speed
Speed? speed of what?
I'll just link something on since it's so similar.
Which processor should I get for my Hp dv7900 or something like that(the models look the same)my processor is fully broke now and I can't start my laptop with it freezing after 5 minutes, that's why I actually wanna get a good Barebone that's upgradeable.
Help appreciated
OI get out of my thread! Im discussing the matters with Mr.CombineGuru here. He seems to be a very helpful person.

what socket and chipset is it

a lot of mobos come with integrated, but it sucks. it's actually usually cheaper. just use your gpu and the integrated will be automatically disabled
But what about the motherboard? Is it necessary Cause I really have a bad experience with buying new motherboards.
Also, what's the difference with the DDR2 and DDR3 RAMs?
But would it be possible to not change my motherboard Cause it might be Uncompattible with some of my other parts...
Your current motherboard only supports Pentium Ds, Pentium 4s and Celerons, no real upgrade possibilities there. Don't worry about compatibility, as long as you've got a CPU, motherboard and RAM that work together you just have to make sure you have the right ports for everything else.

Every motherboard will have features you don't need, you can just disable the onboard video in the BIOS. :ninja:'d

I don't know what you mean with socket but it's an Intel Centrino Duo.
Oh and sorry but I think the admin said I shouldn't start a new thread if there is a similar one.
By chipset, do you mean that it's a chip? I unscrewed the cover of it once and it didn't look like a chip to me.

centrino?
replace it with another centrino
but they suck
Thanks all of you, but I still don't know what's with The RAMs Cause I bought the 2 extra GB's and dont want to waste the money just yet

put your ram in the new motherboard
Hmm ok, I'll have a look in my free time some day but I think I'm gonna get a barebone one first and modify it. Do you think the new Intel 7s would work on a barebone?
put your ram in the new motherboard
Ok... but Why recommend the DDR3's in the first place?
OOOh sorry, Just noticed your post about making a mistake
Also, what's the difference with the DDR2 and DDR3 RAMs?
DDR3 is faster, but can only be used with certain motherboards and CPUs.
Well I dearly and deeply thank you guys for helping and I guess the decision is just left up to me :)
No problem but could you keep the Thread still open because I think I still need some support with processors and so.
thanks anyway for using your thread hehe
Sorry for the double post.
Hey, what the... one question, Will my GeForce 9600 GT have a socket for it? Cause I fail to find one...
Only the integrated one...
Neeeeeever mind... I think I am just :downs:
There's one in there..
