Hypothetical. You can only pick one, you can no longer use the other for the rest of your life.
I'd stick with video games. Because then I could still live fine with both them and TV shows. Bet you didn't think of that.
Also, terrible poll. The wording of the OP asks that you choose one to live with, while the poll question asks that you choose one to live without. Come on, OP. That's just terrible effort.
Does porn count?
I don't understand people that rewatch movies and most movies don't interest me, especially once you understand just how technically worthless a lot of modern movies are, which are all about shoving something in your face, immediately, and making it so obvious it is impossible to misunderstand

That's like the classic dadrock argument. There have always been shitty movies, it's just they don't get remembered. A lot of great stuff with a lot of rewatchability have come out in the past few years alone if you watch more than whatever blockbuster sequels you see ads for, and even some of those are pretty damn fun to watch.

Yeah what the fuck, now I'll never get to play video games again, fuck you Firetornado!
I think I could live without movies because to be honest I think there's a lot more entertainment hours in video games than in movies, even counting TV shows.
Games have something that movies don't
Longevity
I love a helluva lot of movies and shows, but none of them have that level of interactivity that any average video game could ever have.
I've had more fun playing video games than I have movies. Hell, some of my video games are basically movies (MGS4), and if not a nice mix between the two (Yakuza)
The thing is, I can't go the rest of my life having no interactivity with my main media, but I can go the rest of my life enjoying games. Plus OP never specified TV shows, and I rarely watch movies as it is.
One thing I think movies have over video games is that you can consume them way faster
I could watch probably ten or more good movies in one day, but it's gonna take me several days or even weeks to finish that many good games
