I can answer this without writing an entire stupid article:
If your answer is anything but "distilled water" you better be doing it exclusively for the appearance.
There's zero benefits to using anything but pure distilled water other than aesthetic choices. Galvanic (mixed metal) corrosion is only a problem if you're an idiot who buys aluminium parts and puts them in a loop with copper loop. That doesn't happen these days, we've progressed from the early days of water cooling to the 21st century. We also know that silver kill coils(or silver in general) will absolutely fuck up a loop that has nickel in it for the same reason.
You don't need biocides or fancy $20-30/liter fluids. Build a properly thought out loop and you can pick up a gallon of distilled water from any grocery chain and so long as you change the water once per six months to a year you'll be fine. Proper and regular loop care is going to do far more than dyed fluid with various chemicals ever will. Plus at the end of the day I can dump my used distilled water down the sink, you're not supposed to do that with the expensive cooling fluids.
But nah it's hard to shill for a 90p gallon of water when we can be making those sweet ad bux from upselling you fluids you don't actually need.

You say "entire stupid article" and then write something that's only about 50-60% as long as the actual article itself.
They even said distilled water is what you should be using. What are they shilling for??
Ridiculous article anyways, you should always add some draino to your loop to keep it clear of obstacles.
I like to use human blood so I feel closer to my computer.
Weed oil works great to. Might cause some popping noise though
I just put my cumsock into the reservoir, seems to do the trick.
