• Which Video card?

my friend is looking at a which video card to get. it is between dual ATI 5770 a single ATI 5850 or a single 5870 (if he cut back on ram and only got 4 gigs) all these cards would have 1 GB of vram. I think the last option is the best, do you guys agree?
470 if you want physx, 3d and cuda shit. Otherwise go for 5870. Both performs quite similar but the 5870 is a little bit more powerful. Its your decision.
But you could OC 5870 to even higher performance. And of course that comes with a price too. Not saying that the OP should buy it but it's quite worth it. 5870 OC can beat my GTX 295. Lesser power more performance too. 5770 OC=5830 5770 CF=5850 or GTX 470 5850 OC=5870(stock) or GTX 295 5870 OC=GTX 480 5870 CF=5970 5970 OC=Toxic 4GB 5970
well my friend who is getting this isn't that computer savvy. He knows enough to build it, but he doesn't really know how to overclock
post his entire build

Yeah, cut back on RAM and get the 5870. You only need 4GB RAM for gaming, and it will probably stay this way for a while.
5870 is one of the most powerful cards out there other than the 5970 or 480 in DX11. You won't regret it.
