• My graphics driver will not work on Windows 7!!!!

I recently installed Windows 7 and my computer will not update to any other driver for my video card other than a "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter." Is there any way around this? I tried to play BF2 but it doesn't even start up. My graphics card is an Nvidia Geforce Go 6100. When I tried to install the driver from HP's website, it states that the operating system is something other than Vista and the driver cannot be installed. What can I do, if anything?

It's not on the Nvidia website, it's on the HP website. I looked on the Nvidia website for the drivers first!
Its an integrated video card?
Yes it is.
I dont know much about them but either its drivers are dated or the card itself is dated.
Yeah, but there has to be a way to install the drivers. I mean, I had Windows 7 before my hard drive took a shit and the driver wasn't the nvidia one, but it updated to a generic driver or something. I could play games and crap fine.
I really cant help you because Nvidia has such a shitty web design I cant even find my own drivers. I like ATi because finding drivers for them is literally click, click, click, click I'm done.
Like I said, the drivers are on the HP website. :crying: This sucks. [editline]12:13PM[/editline] Fucking bump

OP, get the drivers from the Nvidia site.
Ha ha its funny m2k3 because thats what the ATI website is but Nvidia just over complicates something so simple.
It's not on the Nvidia website, it's on the HP website. I looked on the Nvidia website for the drivers first!
You didn't even look did you. Idiot:http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_winvista_32bit_195.62_whql.html
Ha ha its funny m2k3 because thats what the ATI website is but Nvidia just over complicates something so simple.
Asking the product type, product series, product (only with 200 series cards), operating system and language is overcomplicated? The ATI driver page asks for the same information except for the language. I think you're just being silly now.
Ha ha its funny m2k3 because thats what the ATI website is but Nvidia just over complicates something so simple.
wow, if finding drivers is too complicated for you maybe you should put down the mouse and pick up a controller both are as "complicated" as each other, hell if anything nVidia is "simpler" because it requires one click to get to the drop down lists while ATi needs two :downs:

I only post threads as a last resort to avoid fools like you. [editline]02:29PM[/editline]
You didn't even look did you. [editline]02:32PM[/editline] Actually, after doing some digging, I found a driver on my computer that's generic something or another and it works fine. Thanks anyway. Thread is now closed.

Quite frankly I don't think anyone is going to help you now with an attitude like that.
I smell a troll. Enough of this nonsense! Away with you! Be gone!
I smell a troll. Enough of this nonsense! Away with you! Be gone!
No, he is serious. I have the same problem Geforce Go 6100, Windows 7 64 bit, the drivers on the nvidea site are a pile of steaming turd. Try to install them, it does recognise the card, try to search for the card in hardware config, doesn't recognise the card. Just get the crappy Standard VGA Graphics Adapter. If anyone has any serious answers and can help, please do. Thanks
http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_winvista_32bit_195.62_whql.html it's supported now go away.
No its not, as stated in my previous post, all nvidia drivers do NOT work. Why exactly are you such a dick? I stated my problem as it was the same as the OPs, I have tried all the nvidea drivers (I spent long enough looking for them, found them and dl'd them [as stated in my post]). If you can't actually help me with my problem, why bother posting? As I stated, I would like to hear from someone who has an answer that works, not some idiot pointing me to a driver I have already tried, especially as I stated it was 64 bit, not 32 bit (although I have tried both drivers).
Please go away, we already state it's supported.
Obviously you seem to be slightly retarded, else perhaps you could have read that my reply statedthat this is not the case and does not work. I thought Kiwis were usually down to earth and realists, so perhaps you are not really from New Zealand as you seem to live in your own little bubble of misunderstanding and retardedness. A forum where the members seem to be as much of a bunch of cocks as you seem to be probably isn't a good place to post technical issues anyway, as you for one seem totally clueless. I have worked in IT (software development, not hardware support) for nearly 15 years in total and it is rare to come across such an unhelpful poster as yourself without them being a troll. Well done, have a round of applause.
here why don't I take a quote from it since your running a 6 series GPU
This is a WHQL-certified driver for GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100, and 200-series desktop GPUs and ION desktop GPUs.
And Also
I have the same problem Geforce Go 6100,
Exactly from you, so please, look at your own retardism and look at some sense.
Well, good for you, yours works. Is that on 64 bit? As you posted a link to the 32 bit drivers, I guess not.. What exactly is wrong with my quote? It was in reference to the OP. As stated by the OP and myself. These drivers do not work, perhaps thats down to the chipset or something else, its kind of hard to tell without a bit of help from someone who may be knowledgeable in this matter, which is obviously not you.... tard.

Its got nothing to do with fanboyism, that's what is in my laptop. Thanks for the help, because it really was lots of help.. honestly.. You obviously do not know what trolling is. I came on here to ask for genuine help, same as the OP did and all I got from you was your 'I don't know the answer, so i'll just post some crap thats already been tried and pretend I know what i'm doing' post. Really helpfull, hope you get a job in IT when you grow up, you'll go far..
Just ignore Kiwi, he's a self-admitted troll. I think these might be the drivers you need: http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_vista_win7_64bit_15.49.html
