A 6500 kg helicopter accelerates upward at 0.60 m/s^2 while lifting a 1200 kg car. The car is suspended beneath the helicopter by a steel cable. What is the lift force exerted on the air by the helicopter's rotor? (Hint: this will be the upward applied force acting on the helicopter.) You add the mass of the car and helicopter, right? m = 1200 + 6500 (?) a = 0.6 Then there's the gravitational pull/weight of the helicopter and car g = 7700 x 9.81 (?) Then you add 0.6 and 7700 x 9.81 to find the upward applied force acting on the helicopter? And that's it? Crap.. or is it just netforce=ma (User was banned for this post ("Schoolpunch" - Jaanus))
protip: do not ask facepunch to do your homework
I'm just asking someone to check my work :saddowns: and I got good help last time.. unlike this time. Hopefully Dude902 and swno1 who have been watching this thread for a while are going to assist me.
