A few days ago I started having static/white sound coming from my headphones. It's worse in games, skyrim is really bad, especially in the loading screens somehow. Other games have it too though, on desktop it's only a slight annoyance. What worries me the most is that I can hear my mouse through my headphones, it produces a static when I move it. I tried a few mice, they all have it. The only thing that helped a little bit was setting the driver to 'speaker' instead of 'headhpones' when connecting the headphones.
The problem is not the headphones themselves because I get it too with other one's/speakers. I did buy a new GPU about a week ago (r9 280x), could it have something to do with that?
I'm a bit at a loss of what to do. Would getting a pci-e sound card help me?
Thanks, I'll look into the grounding suggestion. I didn't have true audio enabled.
