It has no goofy proprietary connector, a headphone jack, an SD card slot, and supports more recent technology like mobile VR. It couldn't be further from apple if it tried, in the best way possible

The Pixel XL and the 7 plus have the same screen size (5.5").
The pixel xl weighs 20g less than the 7 plus, and is only 1.3mm thicker. That's even assuming that apple is being honest about the 7 plus thickness, because they might not be counting the hideous tumour camera

At least Google could've used a much more delightful view of them, instead. Right now they look like the thickest phones on the market.

I don't know how they're uninformed. Uninformed that theyre not the same phone?
Maybe they're just paying attention to detail. From a general view, they are very stringingly similar. Besides the flush camera. The backplate really only differs itself with the shiny/matte switch. Personally, which looks to be uttershit on the pixel.
Also the button that is on the front of the iphone has moved itself to the back.
Besides some slight relocation of buttons and type of finish on the back, they are very similar. Look at how google markets it just strikes me as "apple".
Its like they stole their designers and made them work on this phone.
If a camera in the corner on a white rectangle and a chin is now considered apple, we have failed as a consumer.
