emmotion as gift
Time to start saving some money.
Guys these things will most likely be 25,000 dollars atleast for a start. A rough estimate thought considering what im seeing here. Yeah I think i'll put my life savings towards this somewhere in future. I doubt this will be for the avarage consumer. Only those who can afford it. There is no way they can put that price down by using low qaulity materials considering your flying upside down and shit they're not gonna want you to die in this.
What good is this for other than flight games?
With all this new VR-centric hardware getting pitched and prototyped, I wonder if VR arcades are gonna become a real thing. Japan's pretty big on arcades already, wouldn't be surprised if it got at least some traction there.

You can have a very powerful machine delivering visuals at whatever the headset needs them to be, beyond what reasonably-priced consumer hardware can do, and you can integrate shit like this or that vest that vibrates when you get shot or any number of other silly peripherals that nobody in their right mind would buy for home use.
While that looks incredibly fun, it's scary how close that guy's head is to the metal arm on those flips! I'm 6'6", and having the top of my head splattered across the arm of a virtual reality chair is low on my daily to-do list.
I wonder if theres gonna be a weight limit
Fuck if only Descent support Oculus
That with something like Mechwarrior Online would be pretty amazing. Having the chair itself bounce as your mech stomps about, and recoiling when taking damage.
It would be amazing if it showed what game he was playing and it was Super Mario Bros.
MMOne is a virtual reality gaming chair that rotates along three axes, spinning and twirling the player through the air like some sort of hellish fairground ride. At least that's what it claims to be. Whether or not it actually exists is a different matter.
It's nothing new, just the oculus/game interactivity support. This video of a robot arm from 2007 shows it as a ride: So I don't see why it can't exist, just that it'll be a lot of $$$ for a personal one. I can imagine arcades for such a thing like we have for laser-tag and what not.

That looks like a great way to see your lunch come back up and out the wrong pipe. All over yourself, your controller, and everything within a 360 degree radius.
I'll get it when I win the lottery. Then proceed to shit my pants every time I play DCS:World
