• How Do You Fall Asleep

Being a massive insomniac, I never can seem to fall asleep. This thread will be dedicated to the wacky, bizarre, helpful and just fucking weird ways you get yourself to sleep.
I listen to music or watch a movie. I can't get to sleep in pure silence or darkness, I prefer to have some form of entertainment going on, otherwise it's just sitting in darkness bored out of your mind until you finally doze off.
i sleep with a blanket over my head and i make a little hole for my mouth so i dont suffocate under the blanket. I dont like to stare into the darkness

Usually watch TV for a bit then I soon feel sleepy.
I know that feel OP, insomniac bro fist. I can only fall asleep after being sleep deprived for about 3 days, otherwise it's practically impossible for me.
Usually stay up till I'm super tired, then as soon as I hit the bed...dead.
Browsing news or Facepunch on mobile while in bed. As I'm doing it now.
I get tired, I lay down in my bed, pull the covers over me, close my eyes and think of nothing then go the fuck to sleep.
I go to sleep when I'm tired as shit or when it's 02:00+ and I can't find anything to do. If I'm not able to sleep I do stuff like sit-ups, push-ups until I get tired. If I'm still not able to sleep I usually lie in bed for 4-5 hours until I go FUCK THIS SHIT and turn on the computer and go sleepless.
Can't sleep easily either. Most times I just lay there for an hour or two and finally fall to sleep, if its really bad I just drink something that helps me sleep.
Lay down on the couch, close eyes, bam asleep. I only have trouble sleeping when it's school and on sunday.
I find it easier to sleep with the light on and my head under my blankets, although I don't usually do it

I open my window and just rest my head on the window sill, listening to cars in the distance.
I have to have white noise, and some light. So I normally go to sleep with a tv on and the volume down aa lot.
Stay up till I'm quite tired and I will usually fall asleep within a few minutes, if that doesn't work I usually try hard to think about good things in life, which leads me to sleep.
I lie on my bed, cover myself with a blanket and stare at the ceiling for about an hour.
Sometimes I don't. Two nights ago at about 3 I was trying to fall asleep but I kept wondering about a physics problem I couldn't solve on my mechanics final (which was 2 months ago lol) so I got up and solved it, and then decided I wasn't going to be able to sleep so I just read my real analysis textbook for a while.
I lie in bed for 3 hours, stay awake and hate myself until 8am. Then sleep to 2pm and wake up feeling like shit.
I hate when I can't sleep and I have so much energy, so I go fuck this shit and go do something. But as soon as I start something I'm horribly tired and end up sleeping through the day.
I close my eyes and BAM, sleep.
I count backwards from 300 by 3's... it actually works really well for me. Just enough to concentrate on but it lets you drift until you're dreaming all of the sudden.
I usually just watch porn on my iPod till I dose off
usually, I fap, listen to deadmau5 and hopefully fall asleep
I used to take melatonin, it is a natural hormone that helps induce sleep, you can get it over the counter at almost any store/pharmacy http://www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/melatonin-000315.htm note it is released by your body and if taken at the recomended dosage has no side effects, it is also not habit forming

I have a major anxiety attack about all the things that could go wrong in my life for about half an hour and then sleep like a rock.
I still do this but the one I have takes 2 hours to start working, and I end up high as fuck
It does cause some weird dreams, but I have never felt a "high"
It does cause some weird dreams, but I have never felt a "high"
I get weird dreams too, but I get that high similar to when you take one of those drowsy-making (the fuck is the word im looking for?) medicines.
