I hope they sell it to a publisher that releases more than 2 IPs every 5 years.
Not surprised after it being shelved for so long. Shame tho, the setting looked really nice.
I loved Prey 1 and this looked even better. The setting changed a lot actually but being a bounty hunter in an alien world
would've been fucking awesome. I especially liked the style of the game.
Kinda sad actually :/
bethesda is dead to me...
Fuck a Bethesda.
Bare in mind the e3 trailer is not indicative of what they were going for recently. They re-drafted the game and wanted to make a more system shock 2 type thing.

The alien design was pretty cool. The mechanics were awesome. This could have been a next-gen hit for them.

Man fuck that. Someone has to make a bounty-hunter-in-space game.

Again, you're confusing the publisher with the studio. Dishonored, Wolfenstein, RAGE, and The Evil Within were handled by Bethesda Softworks in the past 4 years roughly.

I'm not confusing anything, they barely release a thing.
Damn shame. Looked like a promising game. I liked the idea of being a bounty hunter in an alien world, but oh well. Shit happens.
So...

was a lie?
I recently started replaying Prey after I heard the development was back up and running (sort of). Really sad to hear about but maybe it's for the best. It would have gone through so many iterations, drafts & rebuilds that it would have been nothing like the initial demo & cinematic trailers everyone saw. Had this continued it quite possibly could have been the next Duke Nukem Forever.

If they sell it to Ubisoft we can have 2 Prey games every 1 year. :v:
I'm not even sure if I would have wanted to see the final product, considering Bethesda's track record. Dishonored for example was supposed to be open world too, but it was narrowed down during the last year or so of development. And yes I know Bethesda is just the publisher, but I'm sure they have plenty of influence.
