Does this seem reasonable for a 1500 dollar budget?

I already have a keyboard and mouse that work fine, and a 1980-1020 Monitor
Not bad, but do you have any specific aversion to Ivy Bridge parts? They're a fair bit more efficient. i7-3770K and the likes
PSU is a tad overboard. Could swap it for a cheaper higher quality modular 850w.
850w is still too much, get an xfx 650w, they are best for their price
Also what will you be using this computer for? eg. gaming/rendering

If he ever wants a second 7950 hes gonna need more power.
It's going be for gaming, hopefully.

If its for gaming then get a i5 3570k instead of the i7

2 7950s would use around 700w, you are correct but 2 7950s would be overkill
Are you sure an i5 3570k is enough? Every time I get a new computer the hardware isn't strong enough for the games I play...

i7s are only better for rendering, i5s are perfectly ok for gaming
I am considering changing the GPU to an EVGA GTX 670. I saw the benchmarks for it and it performed amazingly for my monitor resolution (1920-1080). Is this worth the small increase in price?
GTX670 is a fantastic card. I also agree about changing power supply, 850w should be plenty. Also get some 1600mhz ram, it would be hardly more expensive. Also if you are getting an ssd, go for at least 120/128gb. I got the 128gb m4 myself and I easily passed the 64gb mark with hardly anything on it!
What reconsiderations should I make if I were to be buying this system in a months time?
EDIT:
My updated list: (Yes I am sticking with the i7, I can afford it and the benchmarks show a large improvement over the i5)

Also, it is very likely that I am going to be running some high end music programs, studio quality even.

Do I need to buy thermal paste separately?

I never heard of a monitor with a resolution like that.

Before making my final decision, I wanted to ask something. With an i5-3570k, and MSI GTX 680, what kind of FPS can I be expecting in modern games with full settings?
60+ average for the most part, some games like Skyrim and GTA 4 are optimized very poorly, meaning when there's large amounts of stuff happening on screen that can bring it to around 40 fps even on good rigs
If you really want to buy a i7, read this first.
