So basically, water managed to drip into my PC. Im all but certain that the mobo, the processor, and the graphics card are fried, and Im trying to salvage what I can from it to rebuild.
My question is; Could the RAM sticks have been damaged by the mobo shorting out even though the water didn't physically touch them?
Yes.
I am pretty sure it shorts out, because of water conducting electricity, so when the water might've hit some points, it magnified the electricity to the RAM slots, and therefore shorting out even the slots and possibly the RAM.
It could have, but no one's exactly sure.
Water does not conduct electricity very well, the memory is most likely fine.
Depending on where the water fell on, your CPU might be fine aswel if it only dripped on your mobo.

Water collects dust and dirt which makes it conduct.
However it stuff that got wet doesnt neciseraly have to be broken.
