I recently purchased a new cpu cooler (coolermaster V8) and installed it. After instilation I attempted to boot my PC and all went well until, alas, there was no display. I've tried moving my graphics card to different pci-e slots and I also purchased a new card thinking it might be the problem. My fear is that the motherboard got damaged somehow but I'm curious to see if there is any trick that might help me out.
Thanks for any assistance.
Oh! It's an EVGA x58 motherboard and an i7 920 with an nVidia 470.
Did you make sure you plugged the CPU cooler in? The Mobo won't let the computer start if the fan isn't plugged in. Makes sure that connector is all the way in.
The computer starts. CPU fan runs all system fans run, including the video card fans. I'm afraid it's my pcie connections that are bad.
Does it make any beeps?
If not, its your power supply thats to low. what is it atm?

Does your motherboard have debug LEDs? Like this? If so, what is the code when you start your computer?
