If you do photo editing IPS is sex. Hell, IPS is sex anyways. You'll see a much better improvement by going for an IPS monitor over getting a 2-3 larger inches in a monitor I suggest keeping an eye out for the most affordable 1080p IPS monitor you can find.
Yeah, I need alot of screen real estate, The monitor I'm on now is the size of an imac g3 screen. (Flat panel of course)
Get two screens instead of one :smug:
If you're editing, you want the colors to be as good as possible, so an IPS display would be ideal.

I need one huge one, because I animate in flash.
I need one huge one, because I animate in flash.
IPS [editline]18th September 2011[/editline] Wait, you're not op.

googel.com you idiot
Keep in mind that although the Asus monitors are pretty good deal, they're manufactured poorly. I've always had an issue with my buttons pressing in (and not coming back out); thatsaid, I love my 24" monitor. It has a 2ms delay and was $220 when I got it (two years ago!). I'm not sure about the colors because I've never gone into photo-editing as a hobby, so you might want to get an IBS like the others are suggesting.
I am in the same boat, I want a monitor that is 22", and has DVI and HDMI. I am somewhat confused as to what is a good response time, manufacturer etc Any recommendations?

Go for a CRT 100 HZ.
