• Radeon 2600 XT Random Freezing

Right. So I recently purchased an ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT for my Inspiron 530 desktop. My PSU meets the card's requirements, my drivers are all up to date, but I keep having this problem playing games that aren't 2D. When playing L4D, Fallout 3, GTAIV, etc. it plays fine until, suddenly, it stops. The sound loops, and the game sits frozen for a while. After a bit, maybe 10 to 30 seconds, white vertical lines go down the screen, the rest of the screen turns one solid color (dark blue, brown, etc.) and the sound continues to loop. Then the screen goes black for a bit, and the game resumes where it was frozen. Here's the CPUZ tabs. If they can help. Ran around 60 degrees Celsius when not in-game and 71 while playing Fallout 3. Someone suggested it may be the GPU and I'll need a new card, but I should try uninstalling the drivers and installing an older version. Any other suggestions?
Why did you upgrade to a 2600? You probably could have gotten something better, even with your crap psu. Post your full specs.
This is the EXACT same thing that happened to my 2600XT that was in our now media comp. Did this out of the box. Card was bad and just replaced it. Started out with games and video then progressed to doing it randomly while just on the desktop then to going black screen and not coming back out forcing you to restart. Sapphire Radeon 2600XT

I currently have 650 Watts, but I had the graphics card before I had the Power Supply. I have a new graphics card on the way but I want to know if there's anything I can do about this one besides trashing it.
