very fun game, steep learning curve though
just read guides and maybe have a friend who already plays help you, you'll have a much better time

Ask around the general discussion thread in the Dota 2 section. Most of us can teach you the rough basics.
Honestly, the best way to learn dota is just get a bunch of friends who are equally clueless and queue together, do this regularly for a couple months and eventually you'll know enough about the game to call yourself decent at it.

Add me on steam, I can show you the ropes tomorrow, it would help if you had a microphone.
Also, just went 14/4 as Magnus and holy shit he rapes. I had fun early game using his skewer ability running behind the enemy heroes (was weaver at the time) then using it to ram them towards my tower :v:
