I love it when people go out and remaster these old games. Kinda like black mesa source only this one got released.
Will have to give Deus Ex another playthrough before Human Revolution.
My New Vision is augmented.
Haven't gotten around to playing the series yet, wanted to before I bought the third game. Glad I can install this.
..time for a replay.
mmmmmmm high res female bathroom infiltration.
mmmmmmm high res female bathroom infiltration.
You sicken me, you should have infiltrated their changerooms.
It's been a month since I last played and beat the game. time to reinstall it again, god damn it
Never played Deus Ex, wish I had the money to do so.
mm i'm a bit on the fence because i have very bad experiences with these texture packs a lot of the times they'll bump the sharpness to 500%, replace the textures with totally non-fitting ones, or make it too high-resolution without proper thought in how it would look to the player.

I agree with thisispain, most texture revamps I've seen look oddly surreal, like they chucked the originals into a big folder and went down the list improving them, and only getting glimpses of it ingame.
Never played Deus Ex, wish I had the money to do so.
I've genuinely seen this go on Steam for £1 in a sale before, and I've even seen it in the (otherwise pathetic) selection of games in gamestation for £3. I'd imagine it should be easy to get a copy. I honestly thought that this was vapourware, downloading now...

I never asked for this, but damn am I amazed.
Now give me the HDTP pack and I'm ready for another playthrough of Deus ex.
Downloaded, installed and played. Looks amazing. Gonna playthrough Deus Ex all over again.
Look at the picture does that look poorly done?
It's not bad, but the textures look REALLY fake.
It's not bad, but the textures look REALLY fake.
Game about being a spy with body augmentations. Legit Metal box with a circle on the side HOLD THE FUCK ON.
Does this mod also increase screen resolution? Or is there some other way to change it
Does this mod also increase screen resolution? Or is there some other way to change it
It comes with a new launcher where you can customize your own resolution.
downloading deus ex just to try this out
Is this compatible with Biomod?
Don't mind me. Just popping in to say hi and stuff.
It's not bad, but the textures look REALLY fake.
That's just because, (un?)fortunately they're entirely fake. Most textures in the mod are at least partially based on photo-referenced material, but stuff like sci-fi crates have to be made from scratch. Then they're rendered on completely flat surfaces with flat lighting - basically, they're never going to look realistic. But it doesn't really matter, since it's still better than what it looked like before:
Is this compatible with Biomod?
Yes, I think BioMod just replaces the DeusEx.u, so as long as you add the NVTextures line into DeusEx.ini it will work.
i'm guessing you're a dev pass this on to your texture artist(s): i like grunge brushes too
Game about being a spy with body augmentations. Legit Metal box with a circle on the side HOLD THE FUCK ON.
The circle on the side is not what I mean by "fake". It looks fake because it's obviously made in Photoshop. The texture artist used stuff like "Bevel and Emboss" and made the shadow of that octagon thing with the "Drop shadow" tool. And it doesn't even have a shadow in the original.

But like I said, it's either a flat boring textures or bake the lighting. Either way it's not going to look realistic to you, but it looks better with lighting. Good to see some people are liking it though.
