I'm having an issue which recently arose. [B]This does not effect me when playing games.[/B] When on the desktop the driver will randomly crash, then crash other things like Evolve, Firefox, Chrome, etc.
What I've noticed that is very strange is that I can leave my desktop alone for 20 minutes straight, and it'll have no problem. However, the second I touch the mouse, it crashes the driver. I've tried reinstalling the driver, installing an old one, and so on. But I know for a fact that games don't effect this at all. I can play GRID 2 for an hour or two straight. But I can't go 5 minutes on the desktop.
Does anyone have an idea on what the issue is?
Check what applications you have open in the background in task manager, and try disabling the Aero theme and use the Basic theme instead

I've closed all unnecessary applications and changed the theme to basic. It seems fine now. I'll try turning the theme back on and see if it crashes again. If not, I'll deduce which application is the culprit.
