• Blocking Ads

I've always been pretty used to not getting my video interrupted by ads, but since I'm on a new computer, they're back and I completely forgot how to use Adblock Plus! Google searching brings up nearly absolutely nothing.

it does. sometimes.
it does. sometimes.
Is there a way to make it work at least most of the time?
Mine blocks YT ads all the time. Including the video ones. Never had a problem with that. Maybe you have to install more of the block-list thingies?
I just have AdBlockPlus and it blocks every ad. Go to the Chrome Store or Mozilla store. Install it and restart Chrome/Mozilla. No more ads.
I use the Easylist and some Estonian one. Never had any ads at Youtube, the estonian one doesn't do much tho.
I use both Fanboy List and Easy List and had never came across a single yt ad.
For some odd reason, fiddling with the various filters and recommended filters did the trick, even though it didn't before. Well, score one for contrived coincidences, I suppose.
I use AdBlocker Plus for chrome with the easy-list, never seen an ad scared page since.
Disable/uninstall flash, then opt into the YouTube HTML5 beta. Makes your Youtube 100% ad free
