What's with the explosion of new threads?
yo i refresh for one second and there's another thread. Go away bot.
I've been developing a mobile game with two of my friends for about half a year. I'm primarily worried that we're going to lose money on the project if we sell it through the Apple store considering they charge you quite a bit to keep it up there. Is Android any better?

I've heard some say that it is only $25 but I find that hard to believe. [editline]13th January 2013[/editline] Here's what Wiki has to say on the matter:
As of 19 October 2012, developers in 32 countries were able to distribute paid applications on Google Play. However, developers pay $25 for registration to distribute on the Google Play Store. Application developers receive 70 percent of the application price, while the remaining 30% goes to distribution partner and operating fees. Revenue earned from the Google Play is paid to developers via Google Wallet merchant accounts, or via Google AdSense accounts in some countries.
I like how 80% of developing a mobile game is talking about the business model, and 20% about the actual game.

Once you make it, if you feel it's a good quality app, take a risk and pay the 100 - the market is massive, you could make a ton.
